Some of you may know my view on blogging. If you don't then let me enlighten you. I don't like blogging much at all. If I wanted you to know about me or what I think I would find you and tell you face to face. however, My lovely Wife loves to blog and has asked me several times to write one. So here we are.
One thing that has been an unchanging constant in my ever changing life is that I have a lot of questions. As I have grown up I have noticed most people spend their life looking for answers. Nothing wrong with it, I too search for the answers to my many questions. What seems to be the problem is that people get lost in their venture to find these answers that they forget the questions they asked to start with. Every time I turn on the TV or the radio someone has a new answer. A new product with all the answers, a new diet, system, program, a religion. But has anyone asked them what they set out to do originaly? A man sets out to find a cure for cancer and on the way finds a cure for acne. That man forgets about cancer and starts to exploit his answer. His money maker.
So how about a question? Why do people blog? Why do people think that other people want to know about their pathetic life? Heres another one. Why do people read other peoples blogs? I guess everyone wants a voice. To be heard. But why? What is the attraction? I will leave my opinion out of this post cause I know that some smart little nerd is going to leave a comment telling the great answer to my question.
I have sunburn. I know that that is random but I do. And it itches. It really sucks.

Hey Alex! It is good to see you blogging. Welcome aboard! As to your question about blogging, I am sure there are many answers. I personally blog for three reasons. (1) It is a really fun way for Marli and I to communicate since she lives so far away. It is like getting to read and write an ongoing book about each others lives.I also enjoy other relatives and friends blogs for the same reason.(2) I am part of a small online community of people I have never met, but who have lots of recipes and other ideas for doing things I enjoy(on another blog)They also seem to enjoy hearing some of my ideas(3) I just love it, it is a hobby and as you said everyone likes to have a voice. I use my blogs to encourage people to think about environmental, health and political issues as well.
You pose a very interesting question. I will be waiting patiently to read other peoples answer to the blogging question. Thanks for a thought provoking post! I look forward to many more. I miss you and I love you, Mama
Well I thought I was the first one to comment, but it must not have saved. Anyway, I am glad you have a blog. Maybe you will update more often than your myspace. I love your perspective on life. I love you babe.
First off...a sunburn huh? I hate those! The worst part is the itching and then insult gets added to injury and you start to peel which is ugly. I have had too many sunburns in my life even though I try to keep suntan lotion on. That sucks for you!
As for blogging, I saw who really cares. So you hate, that is fine. Not everything is for everyone and if you don't enjoy it than I'd say make this your last post. Life is too short. It's not your "thang"... so do what is.
For some of us it is just one of our "thangs". I personally like to keep in touch with my family but I don't necessarily like talking in length to a lot of them so this let's them know the basic gist of what is going on in my life and I feel I have done my part in communication.
And to be honest, it feels nice to hear people comment and say things like "I am proud of you" etc. Those kind of things were never never said in my family. It seems silly to you I am sure but once again, who cares. I am just answering your questions honestly.
On another note, I hear great things about your career. I didn't hear from the FBI but if I do, I will certainly tell them what I know. You more than impressed us with your work ethics over the years and your help on the house was very much appreciated.
Take care.
Well, I agree with Jen on one thing, if you don't enjoy it, don't do it.:)
Personally, I blog for several reasons: I don't like talking on the phone for long periods of time and this is a great way of communicating with those I left in AL. Also, I love to write and this is a good way to vent. Plus, its a good place to be artistic because I can make mine unique and add pictures and such.
I think perhaps your main point in this post was missed by some. The point being that everyone's got answers and no one bothers to ask the questions anymore. When we stop asking questions, we stop growing. Well no worries love, you can count at least one person who has far more questions than answers.
(and Jen, you sound offended. please don't be because I'm sure this post was meant for no one in particular. and its true, why do we really think people care about the mundane things going on in our lives that we are inevitably going to blog about? lol i highly doubt very many people at all read my blog, and this doesn't bother me in the least. i read other people's blogs because I'm interested in their lives, interested in analyzing them, or perhaps for some other ulterier motive. I guess its not so much that people don't care, its why do we expect them to?)
When are you going to post again? And by the way, you have to comment on both of mine too!
Alex, please keep blogging even if you do not enjoy it because I enjoy reading your stuff! I am interested in your life! Love, Mama
G-d, I miss you!!!!!
